Loads of walking in Belgium

Friday October 14th 2016

This morning we walked around Baz.el. I feed some ducks and Alex found his future vacation home.

Next we travelled to Antwerp to spend the afternoon. We walked through this tunnel that goes under the river. To get deep enough, 2 wooden escalators are used.

Once in Antwerp we walked in no particular direction for the whole day. We ate hand make chocolates in front of a Cathedral. The salted caramel filled one was fantastic.

We saw this building that has flags for all of Belgium's trade partners. Canada is there.

We stopped to rest near another old building. Walking on cobblestone is tiring. Also managing not to get hit by street cars or cyclists is also challenging. Especially when there is construction.

Back in Bazel I was able to get a picture of the cool dragon scale siding. This one is especially good in red and black.

Yesterday I made a comment to Alex that I hadn't seen any red haired people in Germany. Apparently there are some in Belgium since I counted 5 people with red hair today. We are also on the hunt for a Mr. Mime pokemon, which only spawn in Europe.
